Farm Supervisor - Full Time
Looking for a dynamic individual that posesses strong leadership abilities. Can relay directives from upper management to field crews, oversee field crew daily operations, and meet crew performance targets. Must be a good commnicator, and have a t least 3 years experience in the horticulture field. Will act as a liason between upper management and field staff. Hours of work vary from 40 - 60 hours per week with some wekend work in the busy harvest season (August - October). Performance review after 3 month probatory period with yearly wage increases based on overall performance.
Quality Assurance - Potato Grade
Craven Riverside Gardens is looking for (2) dynanmic individuals to start August 15/14 as Quality Assurance - potato graders in our potato wash plant. The successful candidates will be trained on site in proper potato spec's as per our customer expectations. Duties include vsually inspecting potatoes in a flow through system. Extended periods of standing using eye hand co-ordination to execute job tasks. We are located jut outside of the Craven area so reliable transportation is a must. Three month probatory period with yearly wage increases based on performance and a cost shared benefits package for all successful candidates. Off season jobs will include working outside weeding, hoeing, packing vegetables, making boxes and helping finish dalily routines. The harvest season will demand weekend work with candidates being required to work up to 60 hours per week Sept 15 - Oct. 15. Starting at $16.00 per hour
